Updates: Quality Improvements

Filed under: Reshade development — subpic @ 8:19 pm

A correction has been implemented to the sharpen coefficient. It is now dependent on the zoom factor. This allows specifying the same sharpen value to obtain the desired edge-contrast for varying levels of zoom.

The interpolation quality will be better in the stand alone reshader. It runs a little slower than the one on the site, but it’s worth the processing time if running it on your own computer.

When exaggerating the level of thinning, some aliasing might arise. An anti-alias filter has been implemented for this purpose. It’s pretty slow for now, and not available online, but very useful considering that there is no replacement for it except non-automatic solutions.
