To get started with reshade.com you can either create a free account for the online image resizing engine and add some of your favourite images to resize online, or simply browse the image gallery and resize an image:
Resize your images:
- On any page in the right corner click on join. You will be prompted to specify an email address and a password.
- You can add a new image by going to add, and choosing an image source: a file from your disk or an image from the internet (a link).
Brose existing images:
- Clicking an image from the public gallery
- A details page will be shown
- Your monitor resolution will be automatically selected for you
- Click resize it, you will see the image at your desktop resolution ready to be set as a wallpaper
- You can create an avatar by selecting a smaller resolution
- If you’d like to resize just part of the image choose crop
How to Create a Wallpaper for Your Desktop
You can use reshade.com to resize images you like so that they will fit your desktop perfectly. This resizing will not degrade in any way the quality of the pictures you choose. The reshading algorithm used to upsize / upscale takes care of that.When viewing the details page of an image you can choose among several desktop resolutions. Select the one that best describes you monitor. If you don’t know what to choose then just leave the default option selected and click on resize it. The resized image will be displayed. If you’d like to set that as a wallpaper (desktop background) just right click and “Set as (desktop) background”.
How to create Avatars from images
There are several options for small resolutions that you can select from from the “Choose Size” dropdown box. Select one and choose resize it. This will resize the whole image to fit a box of the specified size. If you would like to crop only a portion of the image choose enable crop and after you redimension the crop region, click on resize it.
